He was a freind to a lot of great players, I watch them on ESPN last night, all of whom shedded a few tears. Sad to see someone die at such a young age. RIP.

Taken from another site thought it was pretty spot on.

    "darwinism at it's finest.

Does it suck that he died? Yes. Do I feel sorry for his kids? Yes. Was it his own fault? Yes.

The word tragedy is thrown around way too loosely. Sean Taylor was a tragedy. A man being shot and killed while defending his wife and child in his own bedroom is a Tragedy

Being a f*cking idiot who has no control of his emotions and leaps into the back of a moving truck and attempts to break the glass because he's RAAAAAAAGING isn't a tragedy. It's stupidity. He's lucky that his retarded actions only killed him and didn't harm some person who was driving behind them and was trying to avoid his body bouncing off the highway.

I'm not trying to be callous but it's absolutely disgusting that this "tragedy" is being reported as if the guy lost a battle with cancer, or was shot while sleeping on a couch, or drowned to death while fishing in Florida.

No. This guy was an immature jerkoff who couldn't control his temper and got dropped on his f*cking head as a result."

"Tragedy: a dramatic composition, often in verse, dealing with a serious or somber theme, typically that of a great person destined through a flaw of character or conflict with some overpowering force, as fate or society, to downfall or destruction

The bolded part disqualifies Chris Henry's death as a "tragedy"."

I agree with what Terry posted. At first I thought, "oh how sad," until I listened to the rest of the news story about this guy.
They went on and on about how he was known for strong performance on the field....when he wasn't suspended from play for
doing retarded shit off the field. The news reporter even said some stupid shit like "Just as he was cleaning himself up, he succumbed to
this tragedy. As a final testament to the new changes in his life, he had a single word tattooed on his arm, "blessed."

I was sitting in my chair going, "Fucking please, every piece of shit with a rap sheet goes and gets a tattoo to convince themselves that
they aren't just trash. I felt sorry for this guy until they reported about him."

I wouldn’t say that it’s a Tragedy per say, but I would say that it sucks for someone to die at such a young age. And seeing that none of us ^^^ did anything that was stupid at a young age like he did ( I know that I jumped into a few moving vehicles during my time) makes this any less tragic. So what about his mishaps, we all have them but ours are not in the mainstreams eyes. Still was a great player and I see him for just that, a NFL player who died Tragically.

Have you ever jumped into a moving vehicle in anger because you couldn't control your temper?

I think it is safe to assume that the only reason this is being called a tragedy is because he was only 26.

I held onto the roof of a vehicle while it sped around a parking lot at like 20-25 mph. That was kinda scary since I was basically holding on by my fingertips.

*edit* Lets face it, relationships make you think kinda crazy sometimes. Its not like the pizza guy messed up his pizza so he was chasing the guy down. I know lots of people that do dumb shit over BF/GF issues. It sucks that he died over this. He was young and seemed to be trying to get things right in his life. I guess things finally caught up to him tho.

I think all death's are relative...this may not be a tragedy, but at the same time if this was sour dad/brother/son/ect.... tragedy might be a word that comes to mind when YOU think about the death.
