SOHC is the way to go

My D16z6 made many 11 second passes last week. My best was 11.7 @ 129 mph. I had a clutch slipping in third and fourth gear. So new clutch and I will be low 11's for sure. All with a SOHC, the car is my Daily Driver, and still gets about 19mpg. The car is tuned perfect thanks to the guys at PFI!

Motor is in the machine shop at the moment, should be done pretty damn soon. Broken "like usual"? I made over 200 passes last season alone, and only EVER broke an alternator belt before my motor popped on me. My slowest pass of the year was like a 12.1, and that was because boost cut was turned down too low. I was running 11.7's on a bad day, lol. 10.912@132 spinning my slicks... hmmmm, yep on a stock sleeved LS/VTEC with stock intake, stock throttle body, stock tranny, stock axles, and 2,400 lbs. Pretty sure I drove it to the track and back home that day. You don't know what the fuck you're talking about.... "like usual".

I have maybe $5k in my car, including the price of the car, turbo kit, and slightly built motor. So you're telling me you spent $1k on everything in that cut up piece of shit of yours? Cut fenders because your tires were rubbing? Rofl. Good work, kid. On second thought, after seeing how beat up that shit bucket of yours is, it wouldn't surprise me. Good thing you trailered your car to the track that day to go 11.7. lol.

LOL M@ you say your shit is soooo built in other threads, and your car is 10's for sure. You ran ONE ten. My motor is STOCK except pistons and rods. Your car is the one that is not impressive. Bryan is making close to the same power as your wrinkle roof, and he has a 100% STOCK B16 including STOCK HEAD STUDS. Bull fucking shit... I've never claimed my motor to be anymore built than it is. Pistons, rods, headstuds, and this year block guard. That's it. Stock head, stock intake, stock TB, stock tranny, stock axles. Who is Bryan? I don't give a fuck who he is, we're talking about YOU... not "Bryan", you toolshed. Yep, my roof is wrinkled, but the rest of the car is 100 million times cleaner than your cut fender, gay ass shit ride. My car has proven to go much faster than yours and made more power. ^^^ agreed ...11's still good...but lets all remember...one pass doing 11's a few motor can do that......motor that run 11's...without breaking for the seaon...ill give props to that.

stock b series can run low 12's all day. 11's on a single cam? in what car? 11's isnt hard to pull of if you have pistons and rods. but cool

people that attempt to go fast in sohc are just trying to prove that d series is better then B series. when we all know they arent. show me a d series at full all out potential can run as fast as a b series all out just stick with the better motor end of story
