I added something new to the forum... which I think people will like.

If you go to the edit profile section on your account, at the bottom there is a new field. If you have an AdSense account, you can specify your AdSense client ID. Further you can enter an adsense channel so you can keep track of the earnings from this site in case you use adsense on your own web site.

If you specify it, the AdSense ads that are served on threads you start have a 50% chance that they are credited to your AdSense account (both impressions and click-throughs).

The only stipulation on it is you must have 50 or more total posts before it's active for your account (it's retroactive for all previous threads once you hit that level though).

That's pretty cool. How would one sign up for AdSense, just for this purpose? I just used www.highaltitudeimports.com as the website... will that work, or do I have to do it with my own domain?

To sign up for adsense you need your own site. An easy way to take care of that is to sign up for a blog at blogger.com. You can instantly get approved for adsense with them as they are owned by google. Just head over to http://www.blogger.com/signup.g . Once you sign up click on the template tab of your blog under that will be an "adsense" tab. Click on that and create your adsense account. That should work. You might have to make one blog post, but that's it.

Finished getting mine set up here. You specified that the ID's are in pub-xxx format. Mine is in ca-pub-xxx should I have copied and pasted the ca-pub as well as the numbers or just the numbers?

Well, they aren't pop up's so your blocker isn't going to block them, but no one should click on any ads that they are not interested in.

I believe I set mine up properly. Is there any other way to verify that its done right after save changes other than waiting and watching the adsenes account?
