My "I got bored and did something stupid" thread....

So I finally started turning wrenches on a build I have been planning in my head since 2007. Vehicle: 1975 Chevy Vega
Project codename: Kega

So far stock engine and tranny are in the bottom of a landfill. New engine (not built yet) will be a K series of top secret origin and size. Trans, Good ol Chevy powerglide.
So far here is the pick of the block and trans mocked up with my custom built adapter. This week I am finishing the adaper plate to have attachments to the subframe connectors I am building for the car. Then it goes into the chassis so I can start fabbing mounts and cupholders and all that important stuff.

^Yea, except you got the wrong year. Thats more like an early 70s Vega, because in what (?) 73 or 74 (?), the government made revisions to the safety regulations, and bumper requirements, and everything turned ugly.



But back on topic, thats a pretty cool build there. I look forward to progress and updates!

Tobi... when you are mounting a trans like that to a Honda motor, how does the input shaft/flywheel/clutch disk all work out? Do you have to run a certain special combo of parts, or...?
