Well today I was running around picking up parts so I can get my sisters car fixed. I ran into a 99-00 EBP hatchback. I thought at first it was an Si but after he got around me it was a hatchback. So I decided to follow him and see if I can get a little run it, he downshifts while I followed behind him.... I pull into the open lane and start to slowly pull him in. Then we got a light and asked him what he had and it was a b18 (vtec). We just talked for a second and then the light tuen green. We both take off normal and then punch it. After the top of second I was pretty well ahead of him. Plus we where nearing a school so I didn't decide to speed pass there.

I fogot to tell him about the site but I'm sure I will see his car again, I see it all the time driving here in the Springs.

b16 > b18 this time :D

not trying to start a heated debate over which motor is better for what purposes, but just trying to clarify things for myself.... you have a 5th gen hatch right, and he had a 6th gen... is the weight difference really that great to where your b16 would smoke his b18 ? like i said, not trying to start anything just wondering what happened... or was he just a pussy who couldnt drive?

I think the 6th gen hatchbacks weight about 150-300 lbs more than what my car does. I don't know what stuff he had done other than exhaust. We both started from a roll as well. Could be many different factors to the reason why his car didnt slaughter mine.

from a roll, the gsr tranny is not near as strong as a b16 tranny, especially if you're dropping into 2nd or 3rd gear. also, depending on what kinda wheels you and him are rolling on, it's a big factor. not to say that b16s arent strong, but it's just that if you were heading for high end, the gsr would be stronger on the hi way.

I have seen the same car a couple of times. Nicest hatch I have ever seen.
