Within a week I'll have my fixits done and new struts, upper strut mounts and new boots all around and then my 550s will go in and see what 21psi will do. (hopefully not break  )
Right now it looks like I'll miss the April 25th ET race but will be ready for the TnT that week before the Street Machine Showdown and are hoping to run solid 12s.

Right on! At least I got to see your car running last year...I dont feel obligated to harass you so much any more. It will be cool to see some stupid fast DSM's tearing up the track this year. :)

2.3...litres of DSM power that is!
Yes Hal, I'm very aware of your progress and I'm just a little bit jealous. ;)
You gotta post some non-nitrous times too. I'm curious.
If I end up not busy I could possibly help you toss her in, but I think the weather is probably gonna determine that.
It's all good though, maybe we can line them up at the track. It'll be May before I get there. Maybe I'll do a 2.3l late this season. We'll see how she runs first. If she does decent up here, I'm heading to Phoenix to run in some real air just to see how it compares and then going to the Shootout is my next priority. Then maybe a 2.3l, but I'm already thinking about it, especially now that I have a daily beater car. ;)
Make sure you prime that oil pump buddy!
You are gonna slap on a beater turbo for the engine break-in right?

a 2.3L? I never knew they had them. What are the power ratings?

Prime the oil pump? why?
hehehe... j/k
I have a filter on the oil supply line for the turbo, so "break in" stuff isn't an issue.
But I will make sure to clean it out at each oil change.
I sould have the old motor out today, and then put the new one in tomorrow.
If all goes to plan, I'll fire it up next weekend.

- if you want to use Ross pistons, drop me a line I can get you build numbers for 2.3 pistons (6 or 7 bolt). They are based on Russell Coxes original order.

When I do an engine it'll be nothing but Ross pistons. Damn "bricks." Hehe. ;) I'll talk to you soon Hal. Good luck!
I now have a nice spare 6-bolt block and a spare head for a builder engine.

Its the normal 2 litre stroked to a 2.3 litre :) Power all depends on what else you have on it :)

Oh, and good luck with 12's Paul! Should be very impressive this year. Are you still running the 1G MAS??

Yes,I am running the stock MAS but I do have the DejonTool with the air bypass pipe which allows me to pull in unmetered air after the MAS. You need the bigger injectors and fuel control to use this and obviously needs to be tuned carefully which is where the Pocketlogger will be a must.
I should be experimenting with this by the Street Machine Showdown or by the 1st CC on May 9th.

man I never knew about all this...I just sold an engine with a frozen balance shaft and I am kind of regreting it. I could just eliminate that and go bigger displacment.
That would be one hell of a fun project...I hope the sale doesn't go thru now;)
