Ok, well, i bought a 97 civic lx in december with only 53k on it so i thought it was a great deal at 7000. i just found out blue book was 7160 but i was told it was over 8000. i was hoping to sell my car for 8000-8500. it has 58k now, gen. 3 tail lights, $350 Aiwa motorized flip-down head unit, Jensen 150w speakers, $450 Yokohama H-Speed rating tires, A $230 rear section exhaust, and 14" rims (not hubcaps, actual decent rims). so since the blue book for stock is $7360 right now, what do you guys think i should be able to get with the few mods i have on it?

$6500-$7000
Mods don't help the value of the car at all.

The reality is that mods are nothing but money wasted when it comes time to sell a car. I always strip mods off a car and sell them separate on the side when I sell a car.

yea, but keep the "flashy" mods and cheap mods in there as they will make the buying think its a super high classy car (nothing against Hondas)
If you don't do your homework before a major purchase, you deserve what you get. Period.
And for the most part you won't get the $$ spent on mods out of the car when you sell it.

Blue Book is $7500 for excellent and $6950 for good, so anywhere between $6500-$7000 or so. Sell the parts you have seperate and not on the car, you will get more money that way.
