just got back, Im tired. I took third in Super mod. I lost to a damn Mustang. the car ran a 13.14@107 though. It felt super strong down there but tire spin and hop was an issue all day.

I'm definately a little on the tired side too..I think I'll go drink like 1/4 of a beer and pass the hell out. Ok maybe not, maybe it would take a whole one!
Wish there were more cars down there..but it was still a good time..decent facility and all that.
We OWNED lots of roadkill tho' what was the final count Tobi? :)

Well...in defence of that particular car...(not the driver) its owner was a freaking MORON. He ran everything from that high 13 to a lovely 16.2s pass in his car...and EVERYWHERE in between. Tobi didnt mention that a car blew its guts in his lane right before that run..and he still gave the E8 a good smackdown. The car has a lot of potential...but when its in the hands of a newbie 16yr old bracket racer? Just another easy win for the Si. :)

I couldn't see any of the videos, did they break?

Looks like a good time! Was your car in basically in the same trim that it was toward the end of last season? The times are a second faster from when I saw you run at Bandi last. Nice.

I thought altitude would not affect boosted cars as much as n/a. My car ran a second quicker at lower altitude too when it was n/a. If my turbo car would be a second quicker down there then that's cool :D

I think a turbo car is not affected as much because the turbo can compensate for denser inlet air. a Blower is mechanical and only can move X amount of air at a given rpm. If that air is denser to begin with it stands to reason that the car will run better.

so what kinda times did the E8 run?

He was ALL over the place. His first run was a 14.7 then...it got much WORSE from there. 15.3, 15.8, 16.5 (gasp), along with lots of other assorted really shitty runs. His very BEST run was against the Project Si...he ended up dialing a 14.4 (I think) and nailed down a 13.9. He didnt shut off his car all day long I guess..and was nascar-ing it around the track when time trials were open. I'm pretty sure he didnt know that he had an intercooler sprayer..or he shouldnt have been affected by all that heat so much. (and I never saw him showing it off to anyone)
Needless to say, he was a pretty young guy, prolly new to brackets, and definately new to the car. Hopefully I can be a "little" better than he was my first time out. I ran a freaking 16.5 in my Si at Bandi for gods sake! :)
At least he did get ONE run in the 13's. Maybe he was just afraid of wearing a helmet because it would make his hair look bad while he was showing his car for the contest.

I'll remember that! Next time I'll swerve AT the foxes and deer instead of away! Thank you again Tobi, it was a lot of fun for me, and it was GREAT to get out of state for a while.

well..if I remember correctly..he told you he was going to kick your ass if you swerved to miss anything that ran out into the road. I think you'd be down for an ass beating if you were swerving at all.. :)
