you may not believe this, but it was the god damn spark plugs whoever owned it before me put champion plugs in there, god knows the gap i just threw them out, put in the ngk 6970's i think, i foget the #, i told ya the other day, and god damn! what a difference, now i cant get traction at all! all the way through second gear my back end is squirley all over the place, and now i can boost to 18 psi , and up to 22+ (which im not gonna) but with the other plugs i couldnt even hit 18, kept on dropping off. best 18 dollars i ever spent on those plugs... now im feeling confident for low 13's {grin}....... again.. thanx for all your help

Wow, I can't believe he put Champions in there?! Sounds like he didn't know what he was doing. I hope you've also changed the air filter, oil-filter, and oil (Mobile-1 or other fully synthetic), since you've bought it? I use the Toyota Landcruiser V-8 oil-filter. MUCH "beefier" filter than the others. I can lookup the part # if you want.

Do you know the prior owner? Some guy named Hans maybe? Did you get good maintenance records with the car? Glad to hear the boost quirks are worked out. Sounds like your stock twins are healthy. Have fun with it.

no i didnt buy it from hans, but i do know who he is, i bought the car from tennesse, it does have a new k&n oil filter and fresh oil change with recpeits, done buy the owner but not with synthetic oil, i will change that b4 sat when i goto run my car again, also that nice that the landcruiser oil filter works, im sure its bigger than the stocker, and yea new air filter too, akimoto full intake. i have most matienence records and shows that the car has been taken care of, and for these twins being original as far as i know dang they pull hard! dude you should roll to bandi on sat, i went yesterday but didnt get to run, my radiator decided to bust on the way there, but that will be fixed on tues. let me know we can roll together

well my radiator decided to crack on the way up there, 4 inch crack accross the top, i dont think it would have passed tech so i didnt even bother to waste my $30, but im buying a rpw aluminum radiator monday, so ill be on the track soon.. rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr that made me so mad tho. i wanted to race soooooooooo bad. o well theres always next time
