I wouldn't drive one unless it was a 00+, and then it would be riding on a maybe if it was less then $6000, oh and what does that tell you...

I have a maxima. Its a 99. Its not very fast but then again I don't have much money.
It is way better that any other four door that I could afford. I would take it over an Accord any day.

the 03 maximas are pretty quick for 4 foor sedans, a friend of mine has 6 speed maxima with 3.5 liter 240hp engine i think, but it was just under 30 grand.

I don't get it either, but aftermarket parts are harder to get and more expensive for maximas so maybe that has something to do with it.
That's exactly why Canuck. The Civic has almost as many performance parts as the Mustangs do. Also, Maxima's are a lot bigger and heavier. My girlfriend had a 97 Maxima and I really liked it, mostly. The things I did not like where the how the shifter was cable instead of direct, at least I thought it was, and the handling. When ever I would drive her car, I would mentally tell myself, "Okay, you've got moddified suspension, she doesn't take it easy." Then when I'd take corners like half as fast as I would in my car, it would still end up plowing through them. I also think that if the car would have handled better, it wouldn't have gotten totaled the way it did. (Loosing control on the highway trying to avoid another car) I liked the car over all but was afraid to drive it at even the speed limit on some parts of the highway because the ride felt like Jello. I'd still take one over an Accord though. Lots of torque, that's for sure.
P.S. I'll move this thread for you.

yea, you dont see a lot of imports where there is more torque then horsepower
the 90-94 models have more comfort then 95 and up I think, they have weak window motors. My friends shifter cable is broken, I am pretty sure they are known for shotty mufflers too, the head room in it is terrible too, well the back seat
i raced my friend who has a 95, he has 190hp/205ft of tq. vs. my 93 cut supreme SL coupe 160hp/185TQ, it was pretty close, but he took me, soon after that I got an aurora and got even with him, i havent raced him in my regal though
