A good friend of mine recently purchased a Red 1999 Acura Integra GS-R. He came out this morning and it was gone. It was stolen some time between last night (4/8/03) and this morning (4/9/03). It was parked in his carport at the Quail Ridge Apartments at 501 E 102nd Ave in Thornton. That's just around the corner from 104th Ave and I-25.
It still had the temp tags on it. There isn't much that really sets it apart from other Red '98+ GS-R's, except that it had a black double pin stripe on the sides, 15" Konig Ziege wheels wrapped in Falken Ziex tires, and a complete stereo system. Being a 98-01 model, the rear turn signals are red (instead of amber), and it has the slightly updated front bumper (no bar in the middle). It has the OEM spoiler (not Type-R) with a LED brake light in it. It did not have an alarm or a kill switch.
The wheels are pictured here (http://www.bit-shift.com/gallery/wheels/IMG_0574_Large) (on his old car).
The car is pictured here (http://www.bit-shift.com/gallery/teg), but it doesn't have the "Auto Connection" tags. It *may* still have an "Auto Connection" sticker on the rear. I'm not sure if he had removed it yet or not.
If you see it or have any information, please contact me or the police as soon as possible. Anonymous tips can be given to Crime Stoppers at 303-440-STOP (7867) and they do give rewards.
Edit: I have a some more identifying information... he has clear corners up front, and he said there are some small scratches on the back window.
Update: It was found today (4/10/03) at 2021 W 73rd Ave, in the Westminster area. Stripped and undriveable. :( He hasn't seen it yet. I can't say I'm surprised that this is the work of someone most likely operating in Westminster. Fucking theives. :guns:
damn..that sucks..i hate people who cant buy their own shit and jack other peoples things that work hard for..ill keep my eyes open for ya.. i live around there

Well, they found the car some time this morning, completely stripped and undrivable. I haven't seen it yet, not sure if I want to.
If I do see it, I'll be sure to take a lot of pictures.

Alarms and all that don't work, if they're professionals.
I know friends who do that shizznitt back in tha days, but they tell me to always hide the alarm wires, and have a back-up battery and/or siren.
They can snip yo wires real easy.
if u ever get another car that u will fix up, get the AutoLock Pro....unbreakable....it locks the brake and they won't take the car....but it won't guarantee they won't take what's inside.
Sorry to hear that someone jacked yo ride, especially in an apartment complex.

ryanman, I think it's a little bit rude to assume that all the people on here know how to read.

Check this... I just had my 1995 Integra GSR jacked and stripped on last wednesday night. Looked very similar when recovered and I bet it is the same people. Was the car recently emissioned before it was stolen? Mine had temp tags too and it was emissioned 2 days prior to its theft. I suspect the emissions people. My neighbors also heard a group of "gang bangers" 5 days before my car was stolen who were talking out loud about stealing cars. They drive a red car, custom wheels, lowered suspension (my neighbors description). I DIDN'T have insurance. Let me know about the emissions. Mine was emissioned at the place off McIntire in Westminister.

I bought mine from a dealership in Longmont, and it had already passed emissions, so, it hadn't seen an emission testing place for a month or so. I think mine had to do with my neighbors, but I have no way of proving it.
That sucks man, I feel for ya, something's gotta be done to stop these assholes:mad:
