Killed another civic

I didn't want to, but I was stopped at a light turning left, and another civic pulls up to the right of me to turn left too, double turn lane. It's a 99-00 black, maybe blue with blue headlights and CHROME wheels. He revs twice, really high on the RPMs, I hear it over my stereo which was pretty loud already, look over, and neither the driver nor the passenger are looking, just revving, wtf? I see the side light turn yellow, so I take my foot off the brake, and just sit there, waiting for the light to turn green, clutch half depressed, foot still off the gas but very close to it. Light turns green, he goes, I go, we're both turning left, but he's got the inside lane. I wait until we're straight and by this time he's already damn near wrapped out first and is a car and a half length in front. I floor it, rpms climbing fast, not looking at tach, but listening for about 6500 rpms when I shift to 2nd, by this time I'm at his rear bumper, by the top of 2nd he was about 1/2 car length back (I made sure and looked at them as I passed, neither of them looking at me). I took my foot off the gas in 3rd at about 6500 rpm and was about 4-5 cars in front of them. They looked pretty glum getting beat, heheh... just goes to show civics aren't fast, particularly when they are NATURALLY ASPIRATED! dumbfucks.

hmm, I'm going to have to go ahead and disagree with you there. I'd still race you, but I'm 99% positive I'd beat you, even on a stock clutch and snow tires. Considering I can beat Eric in his 95 dx (light) with a JDM B16, which has more power than your engine, and has VTEC, I'm guessing I'd be about a second faster than you, maybe more. Lets run em sometime and find out tho, I'm down :D

I think he would beat you too beau. I've got the LS in my car and in no way would it keep up with a SC'ed EX. Well, you do have a couple more mods than me, so you'd probably stand a better change, but I think Scott would take it. Last Tuesday I saw a pretty sleeper looking hatch on the highway so I decided to try and race him. We started in 3rd and gunned it to the top of 4th. Off of 3rd I had pulled about 1.5 cars ahead of him, and after I got into 4th I hear his VTEC kick in and there he goes, right by me. He had a GSR in his hatch. I thought I had him too, but just goes to show exactly how strong VTEC is. I think his plates said Arizona, or New Mexico or something. I don't my story had anything to do with anything, but yeah. Haha.

Na...Probably not. You have the extra 2.5k RPMS then me and Sc'ed... I'm dead but I'll try anyway. What the hell right? It would be fun to try.
