Alright everyone, I know you are all beginning to get that race season bug so heres a little good news for you. I received the 2003 club clash info today and I have sent in the registration form and fees to register the first annual "Colorado Import Alliance" race team. You all should have received your info andregistration packets if youraced last season. If you are a noob and would like to take a swing at some domestics in all out Us vs. THEM bracket racing please feel free to PM me or respond to this post for any questions you have. I have a feeling this year will mark the first year that our little import club will make BIG waves in the club clash world. I am exited to get this thing rolling, we have some excellent cars and drivers on board for this year including many newcomers. See you at the races.......

on the first day you take your car to the track go to the tech building and pick up a registration form and fill it out and pay them the $25 to race for the team. Thats it. they will also give you a sticker for tech inspection so you dont have to tech every time.

You get no time runs if you enter after 6:30 I think they continue to take people in until first round starts which is usually at 8 or 9.

I can beat alot of V8s (was beating F bodies back in '98) and have been for several years. I ran 13.3s last year with moderate boost and will be in the 12s with a little more. I beat ZO6 Vettes last year and with 12s I can beat stock GTS Vipers so I guess I could be called V10SpankR ,yeah,I like the sound of that. ;)

BTW- Just because it has a V8 in it doesn't mean it's fast,I see plenty of classic muscle cars running 16 and 17 and even an occasional 18 second 1/4 mile so even some stock Civics can beat a V8.

i haven't had a chance to run it yet pmi doesn't have races as far as i know, tell may. but the car, accodring to nada blue book stuff, weighs 2800lbs. i have aluminum heads and a fiberglass hood so its slightly under that. et and hp guess are impossible and normally off but we can try. we built a camaro (which is heavier) with a noticebly less built motor, and everything else very similiar it ran 11.3s. my car is around 300 pounds less, has more tourque and hp because the motor has larger displacement bigger cam and heads. anyhow our guess, with that in mind, is low 11,s all motor, mid 10,s with 150 shot, and high 9's with 300 hp shot. so it should be fun. whats does dustin run. waht ever it is sound like quiet a ride

ok how many hai cars are there around 13 secs or so that are going to show up there. scatter shields for this race would be a good idea for the faster cars with stock trannys. i had a friend total his car when the flywheel blew up. is it bracket racing only or wheel you do some heads up stuff.

The club as a whole finished 4th the last two years out of 20 or so competitive clubs.

That's 20 clubs that actually field enough cars to be competitive but there were over 40 total clubs.

I don't think CoDSM had a regualr showing and when they did they could only field 5 or 6 cars.

With this CIA club we hope to get the smaller import clubs (which there were only a couple anyway) to just join us and kick butt together. This year we have several Supras that will be joining us and anybody else that wants to run with us even domestics.

Club clash is an event at Bandimere every season where you get a club together and you bracket race for points. Last year we didnt have to many people from HAI show up but we still took 3rd or 4th place. So we decided to see if we could get more import clubs together that raced last season with only 4 or 5 cars and see if we could all of us together as 1 club. This way we have more racers and hopefully we will be able to come close to the # of racers the teams that finished #1 and 2 will have

At this point it is easier to go to the track (whenever you go next, T&T or what ever) and fill one out and turn it in with your money right there. Just go down to tech and get one, fill it out, and take it back to tech with your cashola and you are done.
