I am in need of drag radials and want to know you guys opinions, I want to buy 2 tires and run on them all season and be able to leave them on all summer. I dont care if I wear them out and and ditch em at the end of the season. I need them to be 205 55 16 if possible. nothing insane price or anything just something that will help hook up.
what have you had good luck with?
which ones would best suit my needs?

Nittos are ok, and while I've got no experience with BFGs, those who do say that the BFGs kick the crap out of the nittos.

And they will wear out in about 5k miles, FWIW.

I'd try the BFGs. They apparently need about 1/2 the warmup time in the burnout box, and stick much better.

They do have the reputation of being REALLY greasy in the rain, tho....

Drag radials can be just downright dangerous in the wet. Better yet ask SleeperZ how he likes his BFG drag radials,he got good results with them last year.

You really should just buy some 15 inch steelies to put the drag radials on and be safe since regular tires on the back with those on the front could cause some issues with varying road conditions.
Are your rims 16 or 17s ryan?

What's the largest diameter tire you should go with before it starts to hurt performance, 16's? I'd assume that the shorter the sidewall the more air you'll need to keep in them?

I just wanna use them with my stock wheels. I get mad wheel spin and torque steer when I launch it, I know if I get this car to hook up at the track I will run some good times with very minimal mods and maintenance

Save yourself the money and just buy a set of good street tires. Best 60' I have seen on a decently modified car with radials was only a 1.8, where as I have pulled a 1.9 with nothing but Nitto 450's. Spending $300 on tires for a tenth doesn't seem worth it to me. Just my $0.02.
