My car was broken into last night and totally stripped. Bottom line is someone who knows DSM did this. I believe it was someone in the Colorado DSM club since some dumbshit listed to the club asking about the galant and stating the location of the car. Just please keep your eyes and ears open to hear of a SAFC, Infinity 1200 Watt Sub with Alpine V12 Expert Amp on back of box, Greddy Turbo Timer, Pioneer DEH P7300, for sale or anything else related to a Galant VR4. Please if you have stopped by to help my car and touched it in anyway let me know as the car has been finger printed. Please call me if you have heard anything about this, I will reward you.

I'll be on the lookout and if it is somebody known on any Colorado car boards they will be exposed.
Sorry to hear that man. I almost know how you feel. I've had about $1,000 ripped off from my store in the past couple of days. The bad part is that I just about watched one guy do it, but didn't realize what was going on until it was too late. Much worse for you though, I'll keep my eyes open.

Had to take pics today for the insurance. The fuckers will hopefully get caught they took 4 pieces of my car they hacked up with them to CBI (Colorado Beauru of Investigations). Thanks again everyone, I hope we can all keep our eyes peeled to find these fucks.
I guess I will be on the outlook for an SAFC, CD Player, Amp & Sub, Nitrous Bottle, Radar Dectector, EGT Gauge, god they stole so much. Kyle

damn...really sorry to hear that. will keep eyes peeled
heres the post from club dsm mailing list:On my way to the slopes yesterday morning I spied a grey '92 GVR4 w/ FMIC on
the side of the road along US6 just south of Clear Creek Canyon. I slowed
down to check it out, but I didn't see anyone in or around the car. Anybody
in the club? I hope you managed to get the car moved...it sure was close to
the traffic lanes.
my responses:
1.
Thats my friend Kyles car, I hope he gets it outta there quick. It broke down in the middle of the night.
2.just talked to my friend Kyle and some faggots stole his tv ps2 plug wires safc and we dont know what else yet, hes waiting for the state trooper as I am writing this. God I hate thieves and if the thieves are reading this.. I hope you rot in burning shit for eternity! I hope you get caught from finger prints on the passenger window or the hood release button. thats really sad that people would do that , ya know the kids worked hard making the car work and has less than 500 miles on his rebuild for some greedy asshole to fuck it up.
pretty fucked up, I'd be fucking angry at this guy for posting its wherabouts.

I have two things to say.
First off, there's a high rate of break-ins on CODSM members cars. Draw your own conclusions, but keep in mind that import enthusiasts are usually young. The youth demographic contains a lot of light-fingered individuals. Please note that I'm not saying that import enthusiasts are theives.
Secondly, I'm not surprised to hear that it happened while the car was stranded on the side of a highway. My wife's car was broken into in the same manner last fall (on US 36 just south of the Broomfield exit). Thankfully, nothing was taken from it, but they did destroy the passenger side window and the rear hatch glass.
IIRC, it was Erik Arentzen who posted about seeing it stranded, right? There should be no doubt whatsoever in his regard; he's an upstanding as hell guy and would never cause harm to anyone else's car.
I'm sorry to hear about this, Kyle. Really. I hope the CBI does find the thieves, and I hope all of your stuff is returned or replaced to your satisfaction. If I can help you out in any way with it, whether it be wrenching or just a "this is what I would do if" stream of advice, please let me know. I'm in the Aurora area.

I dont know Him personally and I just stated that
" I would be f-in mad if somebody posted the location of my broken car on the internet" I never said or thought that he had anything to do with it. Its just public knowledge that thieves are watching!

I like how everyone who has there car broken into immediately blames their car club and the internet.
Then they assume it was a person who knew about the car. People who break into cars are professionals, they know what to do and what to look for. Just because they don't know how an AFC works doesn't mean they don't know it's worth money. And just because they easily pulled your car apart doesn't mean they own one.
"My AFC got stolen therefore it was someone who knows DSMs!" Give me a break. If they knew DSMs they would have probably taken your ECU.
When my car got broken into it was because I left the door unlocked, not because I am in CODSM, and they stole my AFC because it was blue and silver and shiny not because "they know DSMs."
When cars get broken into it's usually not by some guy who wants parts for his car or who is doing a one time thing to make some quick cash. It's almost always a pro who hits 10-20 cars a month. The person has likely broken into a few cars like yours and knows how to pull the interiors apart and on many different makes of vehicles.
You're a victim of asshole car thieves not CODSM.

I agree.
You know, making an accusation like that isn't going to make you very popular.
What are you basing your theory on?
