I met a guy this weekend with a 1.8T gti with a 60 shot and have some install questions about n20. First of all what is a safe amount to run? Second wet or dry? Whats better for our cars if anyone knows? Where is the best spot to install it. I want one today.

i have a friend who ran a 100 shot at the track and pulled good times (12.4) and he never had problems other than insane amounts of wheel spin. i would play it a little safe though. i would do a 50-60 shot. Ive never installed one but ive heard they are really easy to do. definately get a wet kit.

Thanks for the info. yeah I am not going to run 100 shot thats a little out of control for me. But sixty is sounding pretty nice. The kit I saw just had the nozle in the black tub just infront of the intake manifold. That seems like an ok spot.
I'd err on the safe side and go with a wet kit. You'll need to be sure that your fuel delivery setup (pump & rail) can supply sufficient fuel for the wet kit to operate properly.
And yes - they are very easy to install.

Well I bought the kit this weekend. its the NOS system with the upgraded sylenoids(sp?) and its a wet kit with a purge as well. Im going with the 60 shot so it should be safe. I also am installing an intake and completeing my exhaust this week(I only have a cat back right now). So my car should be much quicker by this weekend.
Heck yeah. Good luck. Where are you placing the fogger?

I havent decided yet. I have seen only one setup so far and he had it set up in the pipe just before the intake manifold. That seems to be a good place for him. I also havent decided where to purge it. I know a lot of people purge onto the cooler and say you haet more power that way but one guy I know purges out the hood. It looks pretty crazy. Who knows though. I know a guy who has installed ab total of about 50 kits who is going to help me later after I get off work. I cant wait.
