Need a tranny!

My tranny is about to take a dump on me. I can almost not get into 4th anymore, the whole thing is vibratin and goin nuts. Anyone have a tranny for a 90 TSI?? Need one asap :)

What the hell did you do to that thing? I know it's a DSM, but damn, it was working fine, what 3 weeks ago?

Have you tried the clutch pedal adjustment? Mine had a hard time shifting till i did that. Then it was fine..Now its just a pain to get in rev sometimes.

Im not exactly sure what i did, i was driving downtown, everything was fine until i got to this light. I started to go and the second i got above 2k rpm it started vibrating, buzzing, etc... I think its only a transmission problem, but im not exactly sure.

Yea talk to DnVr, he has a pretty new one for $1,300 I think. My tranny might be going out too, it has a hard time going into reverse and grinds going into second and third:( thats DSM for ya

maybe you shouldnt launch it at all the stop lights...didnt you remember what Tim was telling you (Tsi tim) about your driving, your too damn hard on that thing.

Yeah DnVr has a nice fresh TRE rebuilt tranny for way cheaper than you could get it at TRE for. It's a '92 though, so you'll NEED his transfer case too. Another $100 or so.

Vibrating and buzzing? You said it won't go into 4th, but what about every other gear?

2k rpm vibrating and buzzing sounds more like maybe you broke a BS belt, but that doesn't explain the 4th gear shifting hard.

Is the vibrating and buzzing coming directly from the tranny?

Check out your shifter while you're cruising in fifth gear, does the shifter move around by itself while you're in fifth?
