View Full Version : Is it the fuel pump or the wiring?

My dad took the car to the mechanic and he couldn't find anything wrong with the car since it did not display the previously posted signs (not starting, stalling while driving)

It happened again the other day and my dad noticed this time that then he turned the key to the ON position, the fuel pump did you spin like normal. Well, he decided to take a look under the hood just in case. Got back in the car, turned the key to the ON position and he heard the fuel pump this time and the car started fine.

Does he need a new fuel pump or is it a bad connection/wiring/relay?

Also, how much should a new pump be? he was telling me that people we're quoting him $180 just for the pump and the cheapest he found was $130 from majestichonda.com

You must be a kick ass mechanic to diagnose it over the internet. Damn, I wish I could do that.
