Strange Noise

anyone know what kind of noise a bad water or oil pump would make? I got this weird click-tapping noise coming from around the power accessories.

It doesnt sound like balls rattleing around in a paint can does it?

Oil pumps dont normally make noise when they go bad. I would have to hear it but it might be a water pump or alternator. Bedlams Si was making a noise to and it ended up being the AC compressor clutch going bad.

I had a 91 turbo lebaron and when my water pump went it didn't make any noise (I don't think, I had two 15s in the back seat, kind of hard to hear anything else) but I'm pretty sure it didn't make any noise at all, just started smokin' slightly and a grip of antifreeze was pourin' out of the car... I did have a rattle but they said it was the bearing on the AC compressor or some shit like that... Not sure man, might have to have The Ghandi check it out :D

Im sure its not the AC i took it off the other day. I didn't think the alternator can make a noise like that? Tobi are you working tommorrow? Is there anytime you can maybe check it out cuz this noise has got me a bit worried.
