I just checked out the insurance quote for a new CBR600RR full coverage and it's only $8096...the price of the bike. That was through progressive, does anyone know of a better company?

I didnt see anything that pertains to Bikes...shit at the quotes I'm getting, I'd rather build my engine, put a turbo on, and put some ITR headlights on my car.

If you have a multivehicle and multiline discount it will go down.

Are you serious? I pay $20 bux a month on my bike, a CBR 929, full coverage. One ticket in my life, one stolen motorcycle. Course this is my 5th bike and I'm 26 which helps too, hehe. State Farm btw..

I have my car, bike, and life insurance on one policy. Plus driver training discount, multi line discount, and I used to have good student discount but I don't take enough credit hours anymore.

Whats the number for Shelter insurance?
Call my mom, (303)980-0303. She will tell you straight up about what it will cost you. Her name is Cindy, just tell her that you are my friend and she won't mind looking up some quotes for you. When people are dicks to her, or lie, she just won't give them quotes. LOL. She had some 18 year old kid walk in once that wanted insurance on his "grandpa's Camaro" and his "mom's crotch rocket." The mom was like 48 and the grandpa was like 84 or something. The guy was so old, that he didn't even know where the kid went in the office (it's not big at all). He was like "Grandson, where are you?" Camaro, yeah right? She didn't even write him a quote. Ask Barb too.

I'm gonna have to call them , I just got the quote back from my parents insurance company. $3000 for 12 months...they tried to go off on how the CBR is a hot rod bike (I knew this), and they cant really insure it. $250 a month, no thanks...next please.
Anytime you try to insure a bike with an "R" in the name, you will run into this problem.

$70 bucks a year on mine. Haha... suckers. Okay, so my bike is older than me and I bought it for $900, but it's pretty painless when it comes time to pay insurance. I'll be crying when I find out how much I have to pay when I get a new bike.
