I was driving along and suddenly my talon would build full boost before 3k around 2500rpm, then it hits full boost yet the car doesnt climb rpms? Ive looked it over and nothing appears out of normal, no loose connections etc? it just doesnt want to go up in rpm past 4k even at wot. anyone have any clues? idle is normal, everything seems normal until it gets going. I have had a creep problem so I turned the boost down to 10 psi a long time ago. no changes have been made on the safc.

I think I may have figured out my own problem, took it out for another test and whenever I would give it more than 20% throttle, which I measured on the afc, power surges, radio shuts off etc. I just installed a new battery the other day and have no trouble starting the car,
think its my alternator?

Why would the alternator have any affect on the building of boost? Or did I miss something?

that won't have anything to do with your problem...buliding boost too soon is a problem of vacum lines...not a problem of voltage...

my friend had a problem like this before on his 95 TSI...if you're using a manual boost contorller, check the spring inside it...if the srping or the ball inside is stuck that could be some of your problem...his ended being a new turbo...his car wouldn't hit over about 5K RPM when he had it at wide open throtle...

my advice check you boost controller, then all of your vacum lines...you may want to go through and replace them...if that dosen't do the trick then check your turbo...

good luck man
