Anybody recommend some books out there on repairing/modding my 1g Talon?

You can pick up the shop manuals on CD for only about $35. I also bought the Haynes Manual for the 1st gens,pretty helpful for just all the other crap that can go wrong.

I won that book on ebay for $6 with shipping...I think I will just use forums and Vfaq for the rest:)

That shop manual on CD is the BEST thing you could get, especially at this point in the game.
No DSM owner should be without it and those without it should be smacked.
It's like the ingredients, the nutrition label and the games on the box of Crunch Berries all in one.

Not all of the vfaq's are what they're cracked up to be. Some call them VFUK'ds.

And the other manuals (I also have a Haynes) are not always right and in some cases are actually wrong. In many cases they leave out very important info that you'll want to write in as you work on the car to have as a quick and dirty reference point.

I'll repeat: That shop manual on CD is the BEST thing you could get, especially at this point in the game.
