I have seen you post asking questions about SOHC turbo and d16z6. I am doing the same thing but I have already swapped my z6 in. The z6 in good working order can handle 10psi of boost and be reliable. At this altitude I am going to push 12psi because I am crazy and have a few spare d16 lying around. To run at that psi you will need to have a good fuel set up.

On swapping the z6 please don’t spend a lot of money doing this. Don’t pay someone a thousand dollars for just bolting it up. It took one friend and me 2 days because I did not have all the parts and I had a broken leg. Make shure you’re swap comes with the stock harness it make it easier. You can use you’re stock mounts and shift linkage. If you car is a 92 you will have to do no wiring at all. I found a z6 at this place for $450 with 75k the number is 1-800-665-4326 it is in Erie, CO.

An alternative to the z6 is a jdm d15b it is a d15 with a z6 head you still can find parts easy and it is cheap. Link to info http ://asia.vtec.net/article/d15b/

For the swap you will need.
1. Engine and transmition
2. p28 ecu can be found between $100-$150

Wow thank you so much for all of that information. I am definetly going to check out that engine tomorow. If all goes well, I will buy it. I will have to wait a a few months to install it because I need money for a new clutch, flywheel, timing belt, ect... I could'nt believe how much power the APEX kit produced. Thanks again for the informantion.

All those parts dont cost shit

clutch $200
timming belt $45 I think
water pump $100
fly wheel $75 new oem or $215 for a 11 pund aftermarket

Well I talked to the guy and the engine is in really good shape. 160 compression all across. The engine is $475 and I have a little more than that, so now the only issue is getting the engine to my house. Thanks again Derrik for the find.

The engine that I am looking at does not come with the ac or power steering, would I be able to transfer those things from my 1.5L to the 1.6L.?

yea just the a/c compressor and the ps pump should bolt right up since it's a d series motor.

Thank you very much for letting me know. On saturday I am going to buy the engine and have them hold it for me for a month so I can save for misc. parts. Thanks again everybody for helping me out.

After a few hours of researching and pondering, I have come to the colclusion that my $4000 car plus $1300 for engine/acc., can get me a good down on a Eclipse turbo, Civic EX, or Integra LS. So I am ditching the D16 swap idea, but thanks anyways. I'll let you know what I get.
