I need to know how well the LS tranny will work on a b18c1 all motor for right now....boost will be in the next few months. I found a LS tranny for pretty cheap and i heard the LS tranny works well with boost but like i said, i need to know how it will be for all motor for right now.
Thanks
Bryan
Why do you want to switch to an LS tranny? Here read this:

well, my tranny isnt the greatest and GSR trannies are pretty expensive so i thought i would go with the LS but after reading that, im kinda thinkin about just savin more up and gettin another GSR tranny. I think it's better for all motor and boost in the long run.

sorry, im not familiar with all those #'s....i kinda understand what they mean but i need words more than anything.
The bigger the number the steeper the gear is. Here: http://www.allmotorhonda.com/techpages/B-series_Tranny_specs.htm

I wouldn't go with the LS tranny unless you want the better gas mileage or are putting out a lot of power and want to exceed 160 mph.
The LS has longer gearing, which means less actual torque at the wheels. Boost or not, shorter gearing is generally faster. The Type-R has the best gearing out of 3rd gen Integras, but those trannys aren't cheap.

From what I remember reading a while ago the only reason the LS tranny was good for big horsepower cars was because you wouldn't have to shift as many times. (i.e. longer gears). The more times you shift the more times the power is being taken away from the drive wheels each time you push the clutch in.
