We have one of the best WRX tuners (vishnutuning.com) coming out to reprogram a bunch of our ECUs. We need a roller AWD dyno such as a Dynojet, Mustang, etc. Please help us find one?

I met Shiv last year at the IDRC race. Hopefully you guys can get hold of a Dyno. Vishnu-tuning is badass!!

There's a euro place in Broomfield that has one. I thinks it's called Autowerks.

Autosport Werks has an AWD dyno? Now that would be something to see. They have a pretty nice shop...I'd definately feel comfortable working on a car there. They dont really care much for anything that isnt Euro or German at the very least...not sure they would let a bunch of Subi's take over the shop.

Yeah, they have the Dynapak version. I assure you they love the dyno business reguardless of the car type.

Autosprot Werks does have an AWD dyno, I have used it before. It cost $125 for them to setup, do a warm up run and then another "test" run, then $100 per hour after that. The "test" run is when the really do the dyno testing. They have you come in at the start of the day, around 7 to do dyno runs. I have heard wind of them giving a group price for 5 or more cars. I only heard wind of this, so don't take my word for it. If you guys are really going I would be in, but not for a few weeks, mid or late March.
If there is anyone here that knows how to tune the Link ECU, want to make a new friend that wants to learn how to tune his? ( When I get it):)
PS I got like 154 bhp, and 150 ftlb there stock I want to see how much my mods have really added, that why I want to wait till March.

We need to get about 10 cars in and tuned and out in one day, I don't think the DYNAPAK dynos are capable of this, setup is too time consuming(Shivs words). Rollers are the way to go with this one. I will check but I don't think Slipstream has a 2 roller setup for AWD. Thanks for the help and keep em coming please.
Wicked- Don't buy the link, it doesn't work that well with the WRX. Phast is running it well though so contact him, he has the second quickest rex so far. We won't be doing this til mid-April so we do have time.
Dustin- I met Shiv at the 1st IDRC too. I also made the semis in 13.99 and under that day. I coulda been somebody. 75$ and a big trophy ain't bad though.

I work at AutoSport Werks, I do tuning and run the dyno on occasion. If you guys get serious and would like to get a bunch of scoobies together for a dyno day, feel free to contact me and we'll set it up. Saturday would be preferable as its too much of a distraction during the week.

Thanks man. I will call you soon. I don't think he will do it unless we can find a roller dyno. But I am gonna tune mine myself so I am ok with Dynapaks.

i wouldnt mind joining as well but not sure when my car will be done
I'd go with the dynapack ANY day over a roller type dyno. Much more control & capable...

951- I called the other day and Grant said you guys don't tune Unichips for WRXes so I guess I'll wait till I can tune it myself before I head your way. I am waiting on engine management.

Of course Vishnu won't tune using anything but a roller dyno.
He's an idiot. Now that he's trying to become a "player" in the 4g63 performance world people will finally see just how "good" he really is.
Ask the Subie guys in N/Y who ponied up a grand for him to do some tuning what he got out of their cars.
Remember this is the choad that said the EVO's were 180hp (if I remember correctly).
If you guys are serious about this, give him a list of cars, mods, and demand a "performance" guarantee of some type.
Personally, I think you can do better "own your own".

You may not like him. I am not quite as big a customer as I once was either, but he knows his shiz. His Evo stuff seems to be accurate. Check out vishnutuning.com again, there is more info now. I don't know of anyone else who has dynoed that many different EVO8s for free. You may not like what he has to say. But I think it does bode well for the EVOs. He is not the recognized DSM guru, but he has a bunch of good ideas to offer the tuning community. EVO8s are sick, so are all awd DSMs. Can you guys tell I am trying hard to offend no one :) .
I ran a 14.26 after the Stage 0 kit(uppipe, pulleys, MBC, Chip, and plugs) 995$. Not too bad bang for the buck. I would say half the imrovement came in the chip's tuning. Many stock WRXes are in the mid to high 15s up here. If Shiv can repeat that kind of gain for the money on your EVO8s, I am sure there will be a few happy customers out there.
Also I won a big IDRC trophy at Bandi last year running his gear. 13.50s with stock exhaust. Just a VF30, injectors, pump, uppipe, and Vishnu Unichip. Not bad for tuning across the country as this wasn't even one of his Stage kits. 1500$ more in extra parts though :(, tuning the chip was free :D .
I think it is all really about whether you are happy with your car, tuner, etc. or not. There are many good pros out there. Personal preference I guess. I am trying to become my own tuner like many of us. Hopefully I will like me. :D

They must have changed their policy on this. They attempted to tune Steve's Unichip-equipped sedan last year..

I'm out of town in Chicago this week, But I'll check with Grant, we have done a few Unichip tunings, although we don't like to install them since we're mainly a porsche audi bmw shop....

Thanks man, I still think I will probably get some sort of engine management, hopefully XEDE, instead of my unichip, and if Vishnu decides to come up I'm sure I'll be back.
