Hmmmmm... Damn 35K eh?... The base model WRX were about 24K this year and the STi model this year was about 26.5K... Weird how they agreed to make a 10K jump in one year... Just about as weird as them not makin' a 2 Dr :D... Whatever... I never have understood Subi, just the fact that they perform nice enough to not worry about all that stuff

$26.5? Maybe in Japan but once it reaches the US market it's got all the emissions/safety and export prices add up plus the base is supposed to be $32k and whatever the dealers decide what "market value" that will be added. If you only pay $35k then it will be a good thing.

I've gotten some brochures and emails saying the new design WRX will be here in April and the STI will be here in June.

The reason for the 4 door is cause its more stable with less chassis flex. Its because there is a brace in the roof alont the middle of the car. With 2 doors it moves the brace back like 8". Thats why there are a bunch of sub frame braces made for the 99 style 2door.

Just to let who ever wants to know the same place Brian got his GTI (cant remember the name) will sell all the STis they get for MSRP, with no dealer markup. And they are expecting the people that have already ordered there to get them sometime in march...At least thats what they told me.

I don't think it will take that long. I know you can always buy bigger and better things but the way that car comes off the lot is bad ass enough. I'm actually thinking about getting one myself. Depends on how my lawsuit turns out I guess.

Not really since Japan has had these cars for a while now but the aftermarket might be pricey for a while till more vendors cater to the car. Even traditional DSM tuners are now catering to the WRX i.e. Buschur Racing and Extreme Motorsports to name a couple.

The only thing that will slow the aftermarket for these cars is the new 2.5l engine, which is only available in North America.
