So I was on the way to my cousin's house (104th and Wads from Golden) the other night. As I am sitting at the light at Wads and 52nd going North, this Silver 5th gen Prelude turns left onto Wads in front of me and takes off pretty fast. By the time the light turns green he is very far ahead of me, but none the less I uped my pace just a little to try and catch up a little hoping he will get caught at a light. Eventually he was slowed down at a light, so by the time I was coming up to him, the next light had turned red.
I was trying to get to the light in time to come to a complete stop before it turned green, and I noticed he seemed to have the same idea. Right as we were going about 5mph the light turned green (I was a little behind him) and I naturally did what any boat captin would do...I punched it (I didn't down shift because I didn't want to cause "massive torque transfer" and fuck up the auto tranny.:p). He did the same at the same time, he was definetly in first. We hung together for a second, but then there was a lead change and I started to pull on him at a pretty good, consistent, rate. After we were definetly speeding and I did not want to tangle with the one other car on the road, I let off. He was about at my bumper.
I usually hate my dad's car becuase it reminds me of the Titanic, but there is just something about a car that will do 45mph up a hill at 1,500rpm
Car: 1994 Lincoln Mark VIII
Mods: Broken sunroof (I can thank the Luncheon for that one.)
Low windshield wiper fluid (It keeps beeping at me every two fucking seconds.)
Headlights that are so bad I'm not even sure if they work any more.
Two magnetic "Tax Express" signs.
A surplus of dirt.
Cliff Notes: Learn to read.
