Automobile,Car&Driver and Road & Track all finally featured the Mitsu EVO VIII but only R&T had actually tested it.

0-60 5.1 seconds
1/4 mile 13.8@101.5 mph
Braking from 60mph 117ft (That's Type R braking in a car that weighs about 3260lbs w/o driver)
200ft skid pad lateral acceleration 0.97g
155mph top speed

Also comes with the Brembo brakes,auto/driver controlled IC sprayer and Enkei 17x8 wheels.

It'll be interesting how they take to mods and ABUSE.
They should run close to mid 14s at Bandi so the Vette guys will have another import car to worry about right off the showroom floor.

Hrmm.. I bet with a REAL driver in the car it'll run close to 13.3 at sea level. Hell, I was runngin 13.2s @101 all last summer.

I bet they rolled it off the line on the way to a 2.25 60' hehe.

Looks good. Brembos rawk!

Slower than the sti, no 6 speed. no adjustable center diff. not as torquey.

I like the looks but I'm not a brand whore and I think the STi is gonna run 12.9s in stock trim and will be a better overall car but the EVO does have it's place. Now Mitsu should equip the EVO with it's active diff and a 6 speed in a couple of years.

I'd rather have the Subi but the EVO does have a better looking front end IMO.
