I've been thinking of selling my SI and picking up a 94-97 3 series (325 or 328) bmw. They seem to have a good rep, what do you all think? I know there is quite a bit of performance, they seem to be a little bit fater than my SI stock. Anyone know how expensive to fix and reliable they are at this age?

I don;t know about it being faster than the SI. Someone here had one at a clubclash and I seem to remember it running 18's... Nice cars, but for the cash I would look at other options. This is all just my opinion of course, but the only bmw's I would own are the M series. For around the same amount of money you could look at a 1.8T audi A4, or a 350Z, ect.

just stick with the si. you won't get much money for it if you sell it. at least compared to what you spent on it

i'm not concerned with the money right spent on it. In two years i'll have plenty, i'm just concerned with having enough right now to get through school.

Get an older Supra. My friend just picked up a turbo, targa-top for 3000.
