Soo I was sittin at the light on Colfax down the street from my house tonight with about 4" of snow on the road and this 99-00 Z28 pulls up beside me and I looked over at him and he nodded. Well by the time I shifted into 2nd I had about 10 lengths on him. You would think he'd know he wasn't going anywhere especially when we were going up a hill. Oh well, a kill is a kill even if it's in 4"s of snow. AWD owned his ass.

Where on Colfax was this? I saw an older Camaro that could not make it up the hill going East right after Youngfield. But before that I saw a new Mercury Cougar that was nose first into a median and a sign to boot. When I drove back 5 hours later, it was still there. He was coming off the west bound off-ramp of 6th by the way.

Haha, I saw both of those. I live only a few minutes from Youngsfeild. That hill was fun til they plowed it last night. I was gonna get a innertube and wait til all traffic died down and go tubbin down the hill a few times. :D

Oh it was on the hill right by Youngsfeild.

In snow: Front engine RWD < Front engine AWD!

my soon to be Bro-in-law drives a Z28...He says its crap in snow, but fun as hell when dry. He misses the truck he sold for the Z28...But he is pushing 400+ hp in it...

Snow is fun when you have AWD, but screw the cold weather.

Ahhhh,I miss those days of showing up other sports cars in the snow but my DSM is retired from winter duty since the front end takes such a beating.

I miss going through Chatfield state park after about 6-8 inches of snow had fallen and doing some "rally" style driving. Maybe I should keep some winter tires on my stock wheels just for those occasions.

That sound like a hell of a lot of fun!

I would think AWD would make driving in the snow less fun. I love to drive in the snow...I get to pratice Drifting. :p

Hell no,it makes it more fun and you don't have to worry about getting stuck granted the snow isn't too deep that you high center the car. There's nothing like going down a straight road cocked at an angle and controlling the slide with the throttle.
