There's a guy at school that has a Cavalier Z24 with lots of go-fast stickers (fat n' slow.... ;gay; ) and stuff (alteza's...;gay; ), and I thought he might be a good match for the Jetta. I started talking to him and he says he has cai and an exhaust, so I'm thinking, cool this should be fun.
I followed him till we found a red light, playing with him and shooting past him and stuff.
I thought my launch was pretty crappy, but I beat him out of the hole, which got my hopes up. I started to lose it when I shifted to second at 6000. He started creeping up on me, but the longer we went, the farther he had. I shut it down right before 60 while a cop was coming the opposite direction (damn I was lucky). When I let off, he had a little more than a car length on me.
Not bad for the old Jetta, considering it's nothing close to a drag car. It was a loss, but it was fun. If I do any more engine work, I'll ask for a rematch. 'burnout:
