So who can help me out here? I've decided to get a bike, and I think I've decided on an R6. Can anyone point me in any direction, either on the web or what not, that has performance parts, info??

Im dreaming of a Ducati Monster 750, you can find them for about 3,000-5,000. I love the look of the bike.

Ducati= HELL YEA!
but I'll take one of each. One day I'll trade in my bike, I mean, c'mon, it's older than me!

Get used to it first then worry about performance parts, that is the best advice I can give you. I am looking into a 954rr myelf right now.

I've actually changed my mind on the R6. I went shopping today, and I think I found a 2002 ZX-6R that I want!!

thanks for the links, and there's no question on being careful. I don't even drive my car fast because I don't want to die right away

Being careful doesn't mean going slow or watching your speed. When I ride I always come close to getting hit................on average I have almost been hit by cars atleash every time I ride, you just have to watch out for it. Fact of the matter is that a bike is smaller than a car..............people don't see you as easily. Watch for sand, white lines, or anything else slippery. You have to watch your mirrors as much as you watch the road when you are on a bike. Just be careful cause its a blast to ride motorcycles. Oh yeah watch for oil in the middle of the lane cause its slick too.Originally posted by Master Killer

I might be holding off on the bike for a bit due to money, and I could finish my car for about 1/4 of what the bike would cost!

I went and checked out Colorado power sports the other day...I'm very tempted to get a loan and get a blue R6....fast, relaible, stock. They had a red '02 R6 that looked pretty good, $7400.00...hmmm the price of a built engine and turbo...so many choices.
