Last night the iron heads were removed from the Camaro. In there place went a pair of Dart Pro 1 Aluminum heads. I'll try to post up pics later, but the valves are HUGE compared to the old heads. Along with the heads goes some new found boost. Before it was running 6% underdriven and put out about 6 psi. Now it will be 13% overdriven for daily driving and should be between 15 and 20 psi. The car should be SICK now :D. I'll try to get some pics and video when it's finished. We needed longer pushrods so it will be a day or two still.

Hey, I knew I saw you and your pop at Super Chevy..were you able to make a run? If so how did it go?

PS...Dart makes a good head, what size are the valves? 2.08?

We ended up not making any passes that day. It was like 130 dollars to register for both days, and he had never run the car before so we opted to turn back home. This season I want to take him to a couple test and tunes so he can get a few good passes in.

Not sure on the valve size. I'll ask him, but it looks like it's about as large as you can fit in there. They sure do look a lot nicer than the old heads that's for sure.

Didn't you switch it over to twin turbo instead of a supercharger?

That was the plan if the crank was broken, but it wasn't so we decided to keep using the supercharger. Hopefully it can get on the dyno here in a couple weeks. It will be interesting to see how much power it puts down. I'm guessing 700-1000

Dart makes good stuff...Especailly for chevy's. I am going AFR on my ford. Did you pick up a nice single plane dart intake manifold to match?

I'll give it a try :)

I think once he gets bit by the drag racing bug he will want to go with us all the time.

I only missed 2 clubclashes last season. I also hit a couple test and tunes.

more than I thought :) I just saw you at one test and tune, but then again, I only went to two or three test and tunes last year, and both IDRCs. I don't think I'm going to have the money to do club clash this year

I rember when brian won the bracket racing at Bandi when he first had his SI. That was at least 4 or 5 years ago.

4 or 5 years ago Brian was running 17s in his "other" VW and Steve was running his "Mazda" Probe. You guys were just high school kiddies then. Hard to believe this will be our 6th season running together.
