Need opinions on a car.

I have a friend who is selling a 1992 Talon. It's fwd, with a big 16G, 3" turbo back exhaust, fuel pump and injector upgrade and boost controller with SAFC. The car has a rebuilt transmission. The car has 108k miles on it. The paint is not so good (clearcoat is peeling.) Otherwise, the car is in age appropriate condition.

He is asking $3k for the car as it sits.

Is the car worth the money, or should I keep looking?

Sounds like an OK deal but get AWD.

Unless you like racing from a roll and nothing else then go AWD but then again all of us are biased but if you ever drag raced a modded FWD DSM then you'd know that AWD is the wiser choice.

the price is about right.

i had a fwd and was kicking myself everyday for not holding out for an AWD. then i got one and its like right and wrong.

get an AWD!

Thanks for the responses. I have a line on a couple of AWD's after A LOT of searching...hopefully one of them will end up being decent.
