Would you guys say the new Passat W8 should be modifiable in the next year or so? I''m looking to get a new car. yet i want something sporty yet luxurious. i was looking at the g35 but the rear just kills me. Also i do alot of driving in bad weather snow/rain so i need 4 wheel or front wheel drive. any suggestions my limit is $40k. What could you guys suggest for me. i would go with another car and rice the shit out of it. any suggestions on what? needs to be a 4 door.....
Thx

With the passat W8 there isn't much room under the hood for any future mods. They are pretty darn fast to begin with though from what I hear.
I would look at teh S4 or the TT, or even the A6 which has an option for the twin turbo 6 cyl still I believe. Factory turbo is the only way to go if you want good power without spending an arm and a leg.

1) Infiniti I35 for $32000.00 fully loaded 280HP.
2) Nissan 350Z for $34000.00 Fully Loaded 287HP (BEST DEAL I Think)

for close to $40000 I'm not so convinced the W8 is a deal. yeah, 4-mo and luxury up the wazoo, but not by my taste.
if you want to mod seriously, I'd recommend a 5/6 speed and teaching your significant other to drive it. it's not that difficult and much more fun than they think. but all depends on the level of mods you want to go into. an S4 is a good one or even the A4 1.8T. APR's Stage 3 would put you up high with the torque and HP numbers for well under $40000. you'll have enough left to fix it when it breaks lol.

I have heard of probelms from the VW 4 motion. Since it is not the audi system. It is Haltex or some shit like that. I would go with an S4. or BMW AWD. or a new Nissan Murano, kinda funky lookin.

Greddy is making a Twin-Turbo kit too... expected to be around $5500. So if you want performance buy the enthusiast Z, add 2 tablespoons of turbo and walla!!
