I think it's been brought up before but is it better to just drink a regular coke instead?
If you are looking for the lesser of 2 evils, then maybe. High fructose corn syrup is pretty nasty stuff, and I'd say there's a VERY high probability that it's also a GMO (Genetically Modified Organism).
If you are thirsty, drink water. Lots of water.

Sounds nasty, but sometimes I got to have a soda after eating certain foods. Like, you can't have a pizza and water. lol

I think thats how they have you locked in. I know I'm the same way. I try to drink lots of water through out the day. I keep a gallon jug by my desk at work just for that. But sometimes, it's nice to have something different with some foods. Again, it kind of falls in line with how healthy I'm eating. If I'm eating something good for me, water usually fits the bill just fine. Its the greasy/unhealthy food that makes me want that sweet drink or something. With that being said, what are some good drinks to have when water just doesnt sound good. Lemonade? Iced Tea?
so substitute beer with your pizza
Find yourself a soda made with sugar vs high fructose corn syrup. People have talked about "Mexican Coke" which is still made with sugar being available at 7/11 or something similar.
Check ingredients.

BEER! that solves everything. No but do you guys like carbonated water? like Perrier... Some people just don't like the taste but I like it and it kinda feels all right with greasy foods instead of soda.

Check ingredients.Pepsi also released Pepsi Throwback and Mountain Dew Throwback. There is also a limited run of Heritage Dr. Pepper, all 3 are made with real sugar
John pretty much already covered everything I was going to say, including the part about the Mexican coke. Once again, American companies make better products for their national customer base than they do here. Are you listening Ford?

don't forget, diet soda is what has aspartame, not regular soda. and if you read the article, regular sugar is basically just as bad as high fructose corn syrup, but whether the article is right or not is up to debate. they also mention how you should take in less than 25 grams of sugar a day, i lol at how mountain dew has 46 grams...

I can't even remember the last time I drank soda of any kind. Someone above called it. have a beer instead. The yeast in beer that converts sugar to alcohol can't convert artificial sweeteners, so you will never find any of that junk in a beer. I brew my own every couple months.
Outside of that, drink water. I go through a couple gallons a day. Most people mistake thirst/dehydration as hunger. Drink up, and get healthy. Change your lifestyle and these companies will start providing real food products again. Supply and demand. People want cheap, shit food filled with chemicals so that's what you are given.
^ hey brian since it was me do i get a sample of said home brewed beer? ^
lol

I've got a good Belgian Chimay style beer bottled here as well as a caramel cream ale. I think you deserve a few bottles of each for the suggestion lol.

I drink water and/or Propel at work but sometimes you gotta have a cola (diet tastes bad anyway) with certain foods but I can get a 12 pack to last a couple of weeks unlike a few days when I was younger.

I'd think it would make more sense on trying to ban things that are actually killing people. Tobacco? People who bitch about how "unheathy" things are while they hold a cig in one hand make me laugh.
