Where can I get rid of this crap safely? I have a 5gal bucket full of old coolant and water from flushing the radiator on my old Civic beater. Checker and Grease Monkey said they can't do anything with it. Does anyone dispose of it?

Down the toilet? Are you serious? You do realize that the water is recycled, right? For instance if the water is sourced from a river, the "cleaned" water is dumped back into the river for other people down the river to drink, right?

I'm not gonna flush it down my toilet. It has to go somewhere. All these places that advertise radiator flushing and that kinda stuff have to dispose of it somewhere. I can take oil to Checker, where the shit are you supposed to take coolant?

jesus dude i just told you. that is what the EPA says to do with it. and the shops that flush your coolant use a recycling machine. they pull the old coolant out and it runs through filters and is then put back to use. the dont have to dispose of it.

the EPA does no consider antifreeze to be a "hazardus waste" so they dont have any regulations on it. i found this somewhere in our safety notes
Antifreeze is toxic. This means it can be harmful to animals and humans if ingested. Ethylene glycol if ingested can cause death; propylene glycol if ingested can cause the person/animal to be sick. Some communities allow used antifreeze to be thrown down the sanitary sewer or municipal sewers. These are the sewers that take fluids to a water treatment plant.

Wrong, it eats pipes too.
EDIT: At least that's what I heard.

read the label on any bottle of coolant, it says to put it in any sanitary liquid disposal unit or some shit, in other words your toilet is fine. it gets treated....

In Weld we have a "Household Hazardous Waste Disposal Site" as a service of the county. It sounds like you won't need it for the coolant, but for other things it's helpful. I have about 18 Gal. of oil that I need to take down there sometime soon.
