Anybody know of any repair type shops that can take a look at basically brand new Clarion CD Player I have? The damn thing stopped playing CD's and gives me all kinds of errors.

I used to have a local shop here that could fix anything like this but they are unfortunately gone:(

What reset button are you all referring to? I never sent in the warranty information on this deck and lost the receipt as well:smashfrea
Oddly enough, I drove by the old stereo shop I was talking about and low and behold their back:) I'm dropping it by there on Thursday.
Thanks a lot.

I don't have it in front of me, but it's this one I believe, it may be one model below this one though:

if it has the anti theft code feature, disconect it from the power source( battery ) and it should reset everything and prompt for the code, if it doesnt work after that then its prob. fuct

There's a shop on South Federal, don't remember the name, or the location, but it's like way down there. I think it's kind of off the I-25 exit, actually a little south of that. Blue building. Anybody know what I'm talking about?

Nope, Federal and I-25 run basically parallel and do not cross.

Maybe he's talking about I-36.
Anyways...how old is the deck?? Is it still under warranty?? I would just send it back to clarion and make them fix it, otherwise, take it back to where you bought it from.

I've had 2 Clarion decks and had weird / highly annoying problems with both of them. I don't think I'll buy one next time I'm shopping for a deck...

Well the Deck is a solid year old or so, I lost the receipt too. Can I just box the thing up and send it to Clarion possibly?
I checked with the local repair shop an d was quoted $90 minumum whether they fix the problem or not.

I've had good luck with my Clarion. It was a bit pricey but at the time (I bought it in '97) I guess $400 was worth it. Still works great but I wish it had an updated anti skip feature,it doesn't skip really,it just "pauses" the music if I take corners too hard so I can't listen to music when autoxing. ;)

ya my previous clarion had no problems then it was stolen. So with the insurance money I got the newest version the dxz925 or whatever its called. Randomly the face just opens and closes. sometimes I can go for weeks without it happening, and other times itl happen like 7 times in the span of 5 minutes. Eventually Ill have mine looked at too but it doesnt really cause me any problems its just kinda annoying.
