View Full Version : Chrome browser
I tried the first spin of chrome, and for some reason my work laptop didn't like. Just loaded it up again and man - what a nice, basic browser.
No plugins yet, but it is pretty damn fast. Renders everything find so far.

If you run windows, give it whirl.

Been using it for a couple months. It's nice. Fast and simple.
I lied - there are a few plugins for it: http://www.chromeplugins.org/

I definitely like it more than any other browser and have enjoyed it for a month or so. My only peeve is you can't use citrix and some other apps with it right now as plug-in support seems a little lacking, but once that can be fixed, it'll be my defacto browser.
I am waiting for the linux & osx ports to show up. It sure rocks under windows.
Anyone else see if you edit a post the button which I think should be Save is labeled Vote Now or something like that?
EDIT: Actually this time it says Save, I've seen the Vote one more then once though. Still saves the edit fine.
EDIT: Caught ya

Someone pointed out to me that the codeweaver guys had ported chrome to both linux and osx. I downloaded the source and am currently building it on an ubuntu 8.04 box.
See edited post above with the button label. Not sure how or why it would switch back and forth.
Interesting - I've not seen that behavior (yet), but will keep watching. Are you on the non-beta release?
