I need a new laptop battery. My current one will only stay charged for like 2 minutes, it is well bullshit. Anyway, does anyone know where I can get a really good battery for a fair price? Also, since I have a Dell, do I have to go through Dell.com to get it? Or can I go through newegg or something along those lines. I currently have a Dell Inspiron E1505. If anyone can help, let me know!

Thank you!

6 Cell from Dell

9 Cell (Longer Charge Time) from Dell
http://accessories.us.dell.com/sna/products/Power/productdetail.aspx?c=us&l=en&cs=19&sku=312-0428

Either way bend over, they are expensive from dell.

I have ordered a generic battery before for my Toshiba and it didn't last as long as my oem battery.

Yeah that is what i figured. I've always heard if you buy from dell, you have to always buy from dell. Thanks for the quick response.

you can make your own, they are essentially 18650 batteries... if you can take your casing apart buy the cells separate and make your dell battery. i know this because a lot of the flashlight guys take the dell batteries apart for the 18650 cells for their flashlights.

Once you get the new battery in place, fully charge it and remove it from the laptop. Once per month reinstall it, run the laptop off battery until it's fully discharged, recharge it and remove it again.

Otherwise the new battery will end up like your current battery.

I am with Saip on this one. I have had a lot of good expeirence on eBay. And there are a lot of 3rd Party vendors you can buy from. Some of them are scams, but Denaq (for Dells) is pretty good. Take a look at some of the Denaq battery reviews first though before buying. Either way you go though, I would definately stick with eBay if you want something at a better price.
