Since I've been told the car is rice in the opinion of "some" members, I'd like the opinion of all the members............ rice or not rice????? I'm putting my baby on the line here. I don't have pics before the altezzas and suspension work, at least not yet. these pics are before the Erebuni kit was put on though, let me know.

Thanks, I love that car... To say you don't like celicas or that it's something other then rice.... It's so clean and I kept it that way, so when the turbo is in, no one will know jack about what's under the hood, or done to the suspension, etc. I like it better like that :)

I think the only thing that could be ricey are the tail lights but since the car is silver it just makes them match
I like it

Thanks, I guess some people think lights are ricey, I never have... I guess different areas, different things, kinda interresting... I've never heard anyone I know into cars call a car ricey due to altezzas...

I was planning on getting the ones with Black or Carbon Fiber housing cause my car is black and I'm still thinking about it.

I like them, especially with the silver...

Black or carbon fiber would look good on black.. I'm going to put a carbon fiber hood on my car when I turbo it, I have to re-do the system too to lighten the truck, I will have it all done in plexi-glass..

see, custom box, but very heavy, is wrapped in leather, I can't even move it easily at all.

have you done any performance/engine mods? aside from your car looking like it just rolled out of a dealership, with some godawfull taillights and some decent rims whuts it got for speed?
are you planning speed mods, cuz that sub box is gonna hinder anything you want to do.

I wouldn't call it rice. It looks sweet. Give it the speed to match the look and you'll be G to G.

Scuba_Steve

I would call it rice. I'm just not one for body kits and Altezzas. There are only a handfull of body kits I like and they have to be clean and simple. I hate rear spoilers too, unless there flush mount or some factory ones. But it doesn't matter what i like, as long as you think it's cool, I'm not going to make fun of it. That's just my opinion. :)

I think your car looks really nice. You don't see too many tastefully done celicas around. I do think it would look better with red/clear tails though (just my opinion). Oh yeah, and a nice front mount intercooler to compliment the front end! That car would look good at some of the meets we have. (hint hint)

I agree, in some cases though (like mine), I do a lot of Hwy driving too, and the person I bought the car from also did but didnt protect it with the bra so I have to cover up all the paint chips on my hood before I can get a new one and repaint the car

In the first week I got the car, it got three big chips taken out of the front, then I bought the bra

Even if my car was fast, and I knew I could beat a Celica, id still be hesitant to line up with that....niice, very clean and sleak looking I like it a lot...one thing I would considering is molding that kit to the car - and going with the carbon tails, other then that nice choice and good work!

I was going to mold it to the car and shave the door handles and move the gas tank, but the kit is fiberglass and keeps cracking in certain spots because of my suspension and just the way the kit is, so I'm not going to as of right now unless I can figure out a way to stop the cracking. I already had the front bumper re-done once and they told me after that not to mold it with the suspension as tight as it is. I sure as hell am not going to alter that. I've never looked into carbon tails, but when I get the carbon fiber hood, I would consider that... When I get the turbo, I think I'm going to go with a carbon fiber hood.. Have to really think about this..

the suspension obviously isn't tight enough if your body kit is bouncing off the ground. did you cut the springs or something?

No, it's not that's it's bouncing off the ground, it's just that fiberglass doesn't have any flexibility so at higher speeds and with any type of rough roadway, it can't take the stress, if put on it. I have the skunk 2 coil over system (fully adjustable) tokico (sp) shocks and struts, camber correction kit, so it's a nice set up.. I may also be pressure fromt he hood, it cracks out of the headlight in the front in the same spot.. I already had the whole bumper re-done once... And the side skirt started to in one area too, it's pissing me off..

I have an AEM intake already, did it the second week I got the car, I have all my stock stuff, brand new, I'm about to list on e-bay, if he's interrested, my cell is (908) 797-0388, I will have everything listed hopefully by Sunday... I have intake, exhaust, stock radio/speakers, tires/rims, wing, bumper, lights, all kinds of celica parts if you know anyone.... The only thing I had them throw away were shocks/struts..

it sounds like whoever put on your body kit attached it with glue! either that or the body kit sucks. i would seriously ask what they attached it with. it just doesn't sound right.

it sounds like whoever put on your body kit attached it with glue! either that or the body kit sucks. i would seriously ask what they attached it with. it just doesn't sound right.

I've been other places, it's the fiberglass.. and it's doesn't fit just perfect I guess so the pressure goes to those points when it's applied. For example, if I'm going like 70 or 80 and hit a big dip in the road, I guess because it's fiberglass and doesn't flex at all, the pressure all goes to those points. They explained it to me, I may just change the kit at the end of this year, at least the front, I just like it alot, but don't want to keep dealing with this. They said it happens alot with fiberglass

I am just really curious about this kit do you know how many layer it is? is it gel coated and what type, I would ask who you got it from if you do not know the answers.. Just for you paid for it and need to get it working correctly... You know?

I've already tried, it's got a gel coating, and it's from Erebuni.. I went back and had the kit fixed once already, it was never a perfect fit they said, but it has to do with one person getting the kit and someone else installing is where problems with warrantying it came in, it's not worth it anymore, I have enough headaches, but thanks. The best anyone can do for me is give me ideas of companies that make good kits so when I change this one, it won't happen next time.. I want to keep this one for now, by the end of the year, I'll probably be ready to change it.. I like it too much..

I'm not a big fan of Euro style tail lights...but I honestly think your car looks LESS ricey with the bodykit than without it.

Thanks. I thought of changing them to Carbon Fiber, but when I saw them, I didn't like them at all and they would stand out even more on my car then the euro's
