Problem with Windows Mobile Activesync

Alright, I'm having a very strange problem. I can't sync my phone to my Vista machine, activesync says it's not connected. But when I switch the connection setting on the phone to modem, it works fine as a modem. When I switch the connection to mass storage, it automatically sees it as a storage device. But when it comes to syncing, it won't do anything.

I had that problem with windows mobile 6. Then I updated the phone to WM6.1 and the phone synced perfectly the first couple of times. Since then, I've worked on it more and now the same BS. No syncing in activesync mode.

This is a blackjack 2 running WM6.1. Any idears?

Are you using Vista? Windows mobile device center should handle it... If not disable all of the things you're wanting to sync under the panel and then restart connect your phone, re enable them and watch it sync.

If you're not using vista... then
Is your active sync updated to the most current version? I know I had to upgrade my active sync to upgrade my i760 otherwise it wouldn't recognize it. I think the newest ver is 4.5?
