Ok, hey guys I'm in need of some advice.
First-
I want to buy an Iphone cause my piece of shit blackberry is well a piece of shit.
-Do you guys recommend the Iphone?
-So far from what I read and watched on youtube, I like it. Just need some other people's thoughts.
-Any Iphone users on here?
Secondly-
I'm in need of a new computer mine is a hunk of shit and I need a better os and a over all better performing computer.
-I was thinking a MacBook or a Mac desktop.
- But also I would like to get a HP or a Gateway what ever.
- I just DO NOT like any Microsoft based anything, from computers to gaming consoles (except the 360)
- Please Help me pick between a Mac or a Microsoft.
Thanks in advance.

Sweet, thanks. :)
I don't have an iphone, but a pal of mine does and it's looking like a pretty good converged device. I'm considering one as a replacement for my verizon razr once my contract expires.
And as far as the mac - you can't go wrong. I bought a macbook pro to replace the windows box the wife and kids had used for a few years. Besides the fact that it runs unix under the covers, I love the mac for it's design. If you do need to run windows for some reason, there is a free vmware-like product called Virtual Box, which is available from Sun. Works like a charm. OpenOffice if you need to open or create an M$ office documentation. And it's not windows - that's the best point.
The macbook was more expensive than a generic laptop, but after doing my homework it was the right choice for us. And it just works. The backup program, Time Machine, recognizes the external USB drive I've designated as the backup drive when I plug it in, and runs backups automagically.
Go for the mac. You won't be disappointed. Viruses? Trojans? Nope.

Go to an Apple store and check things out. Like John said, for -me-, going Apple was the smartest route. It is way more expensive. My girlfriend got an HP laptop that has the same specs as mine, for $700, while I spent $1500+. However in a year, I will be able to sell this laptop for $1,000+, while her laptop will be worth nothing.
PS, Apple is launching new MacBooks and MacBook Pro's pretty soon, so if you do purchase Mac, it'd be advisable to wait until October/November. :)

Sweet thank you guys sounds like Mac is the way to be. My old friend had a HP with vista..... I don't like it at all. Mac books are by far my favorite looking and performing laptops. Another question is I use Microsoft excel a lot for work. Is there any program like that for Apple?

Yeah, there's MS Excel for Mac.
Or, run Windows and OpenOffice inside of it like John said.
Just to clarify something you were saying earlier, Microsoft doesn't make laptops, so when you get a HP or Gateway you are getting MS.
And what other gaming console does MS make besides the 360?

Blackberry > Iphone all day long...
Depending on the way you use your phone. Blackberry > * for business class functions and iPhone>* for multimedia functions.

If you do not know what PC to choose, then you want the MAC. More user friendly. Leave the PCs for the crazy code monkeys like myself :D
