Music Producers Wanted

My name is Sal and I am the HypeMan for NoDefeat Records and we are in desperate need of a serious music producer that makes 100% their own music, we have been burned before by another "producer" giving us beats that someone in the music industry has already used. We Have 21 songs out and 8 or more of them are from him and who knows where he got them from but he did say he made them, but he has also said he downloaded "some."

I had to go back and listen again, just to give it a fair shake. VietGuhTrippie is right on the money. The music sucks - bigtime. Is it supposed to be a joke or something?

Aside from them potentially being stolen the beats are actually really good from what I listened to. I would focus on getting the raps better, they sound lazy and there's nothing about the voices that pops to make the lazy sound good, like Mase.

There's nothing original about the voices. Until the voices and raps are better you probably don't have to worry about copyright infringement lawsuits. I'd rather use stolen beats that are good all day until somebody says something as opposed to having someone local create some lame beats that make it even harder to listen to.

You guys need a lot of work. There is some potential there, but you guys have no confidence in your voices. Things to work on:
Lyrical patterns
sylable emphasis needs to be knocked down quite a bit. They don't need to land on the beat every verse. This gets boring and listeners will literally fall asleep from the song.
Enthusiasm; if you're not excited, you can't expect the audience to be.
Content, you need to have something to say. It can be a story, a viewpoint, ect. There has to be some kind of subject in the song though.
Don't just record on some karoke mic in your basement, and then expect people to be impressed with the recording. Make an investment and learn the fundamentals of recording. Get some real equipment or, go to a real studio with an engineer who has these things.

I've been around, and in music for a long time. While I'm not a great musician, I have a lot of knowledge from my experiences. I do write well though :)
