iPhone Jailbreaking help??

guess this could go in here... Well I have had my iphone for about a week and I wanted to Jailbreak it. Either Im severely retarded or my phone is just a bitch because I have been messing it with it for days and it just wont work. I have been trying to use ziphone with this and im first trying to install firmware 1.1.4 to unzip ziphone but it just says error every time. anybody done this? Technology savvy people please help.

upgrade to 2.1, use quickpwn and call it a day.

im already at 2.1, but i guess i could have tried a different app. im about to try that one.

tried it, wont work. right after i select the 2.0.1, it says it could not find the file.
