Here are some pics, it's all premier/pioneer, none of the speakers, etc are stock. First think I did to the car other then the alarm and tint. When I get to turboing the car, I am going to take out the box and have the trunk done in plexiglass to hold the speakers/amps. It looks really cool, like it's all molded in and it's much lighter... I will have to take pics at night, you can't tell but the head unit glows bright blue at night through the brushed aluminum.

LOL, yah, when I do it, I do it right... When I first did the system, I only had them use 1 amp, but the interior speakers weren't loud enough for me, so I added a second to push just the interior speakers. That head unit handles alot of power, it was new this year, I had to wait like a month for it, but it was worth it.... When I first had my bodykit put on, the screws weren't long enough in the wing and after riding around for about a month with the system banging, my wing fell on one side because it rattled out the screws, I flipped. But now it's all better, longer screws and they are glued in there ;)

Thanks for the offer, even though I am currently in NJ. If I decide to move to CO this year, I'll keep you in mind

That's what really counts, no one sees what's in your trunk anyway. After years of loud systems, I definitely suffer from loss of hearing.. you would think I'd turn it down

I will have to look that up, it was only a couple of weeks after I bought the car... the headunit was $900 or $1000, and I had to wait for it to come in because they didn't carry it in stock..

Ok here it is.....
Pioneer FH-P8800 Double-Din, $850
(2) 12" Premier Subs DVC $280
Pioneer 2 Ch. amp, $190
Pioneer 4 Ch amp, $350
Custom box, $150
Power wires, gold in-line & RCA's, $30.00 (I can't read this part of the receipt well.. but it is more specific)
Pioneer 6 1/2" components with x-overs and tweeter, $150
Pioneed 6 1/2" compoission (may be composition, can't read it, it looks more like this) horn, $80.00
Install & labor $170.00

The total the for everything but the second amp was $1908, then I added the second amp for $350...

Wow, I haven't pulled the file on the "upgrades" to my car for a while, you just made me realize just how much $$$$ I've put into it, a downpayment on a house :)

Sometimes I wish I took all the money I spent on accessories, etc. and put it into the engine, I would have one sick car if I did. But then I realize why I did the accessories first, this way I don't destroy my warranty since the car was new. Now, by the end of the year I'll hit 36K and do the engine work then

That should be PioneeR compression horn. Compression horns are nice, I have those in my civic.

The problem is once I get started, I want to change everything, and I really should be looking into buying a house instead of putting yet another downpayment into a car :( I don't want to rent anymore, but maybe just another year so I can finish the car ;)

hey......that is my situation! ive got a 92 civic that is paid for and $5000 in the bank. two thousand dollars more and that will cover my down payment and closing cost on my new home. it just gets hard driving a bone stock civic vx around when i have enough money to get a b18c and kick some ass. And that is why im getting a weekend job........so i could get the swap by next year and also have a brand new house. <---- this is my goal for next year.

ps.....getting a home is a good investment is what my dad always told me........

No, not at all, it's just that it would be more economical to "own" a home instead of rent. I bought a townhouse once already, but that was with my ex who I broke up with over 2 years ago. I left him the house and everything in it and just left. My dad owns this apt., so it's on his property, so he kinda gets on my nerves sometimes. Not that he butts in my business, but he's just always there, and always calling, etc. He's actually really cool though. He built this huge, I call it a shed, but it's 2 stories... for the bikes and he's going to build a garage for the cars, etc. But I just want to move, I can't be this close to family, they get on my nerves, I just like to do my thing...

I just started bartending, but it's kicking my ass because all week I work full time and go to night school, so I have like 16-18 hour days, then Sat. night I work and don't get home until around 5:00 am. Sunday

I actually have the car set up as a second car now, I don't drive it and leave it out of sight, that's my baby.... I'm the same with my bike... That is also why it's tinted so dark and I don't take the cover over the trunk out of the hatch. All you could possibly see is the headunit. I even ordered a custom cover from cali and locks and I live in the middle of nowhere, one nice thing about where I live.. I should probably increase the insurance too....

My father had me freaking out yesterday, when I pulled into the driveway he told me something is loose and rattling under my car, it was my gas tank. I have a stopper on it because the car vibrates so hard with the base that it would pop open, I had to take off my rear license plate cover and insulate the back of the plate to from rattling so much :D

you dont hear it in the car, but everyone else does. thats my biggest pet peev with car audio. i cant stand hearing a loud ass system and seeing the plate about fall off because they didnt spend a couple bucks for some bolts, or 25 for a dynamat plate kit. BTW those work very well.

That's what I have behind the plate now and no cover, we used a rubber stopper on the gas tank, so that's good too..

Well it is a good thing that you live in the middle of nowhere since you just posted your license plates to anyone that has access to this forum. You know that any DMV can run a plate check for an address right? Just a word of caution-if you'll notice alot of other pictures that are posted the plates are blurred. Yeah-that's for a reason. And as for your tint deal- we all know whats in there now!

Like I said, I'm not worried about it here..... My bike is alot easier to steal then my car.... It's more for when I park it places and have to leave it... Plates are getting changed soon anyway..

For example, people around me leave their cars/doors unlocked... There are acres between houses, no street lights, etc. Houses aren't close to the road.. With directions, you still probably wouldn't find the house unless you knew the area, there isn't even a town here... People see what's in it and the plates at shows anyway, so I'm not worried about that... I'm more worried about the average joe who sees it when I'm out..
