Well, Greddy has been going downhill for years. Their turbo kits had asstasstically cheap touches like no BOV, telling people to hook the wastegate source on the intake manifold side of the throttle body, mild steel welded to cast iron, and shitty base tunes on their E-manages.

werd. they've been handing out garbage lately compared to their usual caliber of products. E-Mangle is probably the worst EMS out there.

Wow that sucks. Ok, so my Wastegate source is after my throttle body. Is that wrong? On The IM...

Edit: I reread - Thanks.

HAHAHHAHAHAHAHA! That is mother fucking ALL!

I vowed to never purchase their products when they refused to give me information on a turbo I was rebuilding for a customer. Fuck those guys.

There shouldn't be issues tapping the intake mani for wastegate source. It does suck they don't supply a simple bov with their turbo kits.

Yeah, I've used the intake manifold side of of the TB as my wastegate source for years

That's what they get for selling me a crap electronic boost controller, then it just disappearing when I sent it in for warranty repair. I lost $300 because of those fuckers.

Well - I won't say "good for them" -- b/c they were doing a lot for sport compact when no1 else was.

Also - you can't look at bankruptcy the way that that we did 10 years ago. It's a tool to re-negotiate the debt (sometimes eliminate) and/or the terms of the debt that you owe --- look how many times Trump has filed... and there is youtube vid out there of Trump saying how he USES bankruptcy to get richer -- or to at least keep some of the money he does have.

Greddy put kits out for models that no1 else touched... I'll always think of 'em fondly --- and I bet 10 or even 20 years from now they will still be around.

Oh yeah --- as far as "base maps" go --- it's a base map -- in my experience that's a map that allows you to drive to the dyno - or at least start the car. And if that base map is ran on a CO car, then of course it won't be optimal at all at this altitude.

Lots of other turbo/supercharger kits give you a smooth (but rich) tune that will allow you to drive the car at low boost without tuning if you so desire. Greddy's RX8 kit for one could barely drive no matter what altitude your car was at.

I wasn't aware of that --- nice info. :)

why wouldnt you be able to hook the wastegate boost source at the manifold? i do mine. if you hook it at the manifold, you get a better source of whats going into the manifold, and not through the compressor. if you hook it up on the compressor, youre not accounting for all the boost you might lose through intercooler and charge pipes.

Which is why I run it from the manifold.
