I paid $30k in taxes last year, thats more than my gross income just a few years before, I am now out of Poverty after making over 4x as much as I was a few years ago.. My Uncle pays my yearly salary in taxes, but he dont make 4x as much as me, he makes 10x as much as me and has no problems coming up with 6 figures of write offs.

I worked 3 tax seasons on the phone with thousands of accountants, I know how this shit works..

My uncle bitches about paying my wages in taxes, I told him to go fuck off.. My little sister is making $22k a year and trying to put her self through college with stuent loans, she shouldnt have to pay any fucking taxes.. The $4-5 grand they take from her every year the govt will waste in 3/10ths of a Nanosecond in Iraq.. Put that $4-5 grand back in her pocket and take another 4-5k out of my Uncles income, I gaurntee it'll do our society more good.

If Obama is a Muslim, then why is it that he was actively involved in Christian church groups long before he made a name for himself in politics? It was not that long ago that people were attacking Obama for things that his church's pastor was saying, and that was pretty clearly a Christian church. Ignorant people think they can get away with saying he's Muslim because his father came from Kenya. The giant hole in that argument is that Kenya a friend to the United States and is also 70+% Christians, and only 10% Islam. Also, his father was hardly even in involved in his life.

This is the truth. As a business owner you simply have to look at every detail and take any tax breaks you can. Having a good accountant is a must.

I was able to write off my tuition. They ended up giving me back everything I payed. From income tax anyways. Although you can only do this for 2 years, but still.

Thank you for bringing sensible arguments back into this. The rich are already taxed in a higher bracket than most people, so we're already "socialist" by those arguments. We will always have poor and rich, despite our best intentions to spread the wealth. We've seen what happened when the communists tried to make everything equal, and they still ended up with poor and rich anyway. So, in many ways, I agree.

However, we do need to better balance things so that our middle class stops shrinking. If you look at 3rd world countries, they have the very poor and the very rich, with no middle class... we don't want to end up like that. We need to help the poor so that some of them can become middle class again... that's not only the right thing to do, but it will also boost our economy and help everyone. Paying a higher taxes is not such a bad thing when we benefit from more income, and the value of our dollar is also higher.

But "we" arent paying more taxes... "we" are paying less... The wealthy are paying WAY more in taxes.. And the techniques we would use to better ourselves are taken away in dividend, and equity taxes... and just squandered to the the uncaring.


I see it this way.. If I give my child a bike for christmas... that bike is laying on its side in the yard everytime she doesnt use it. I make my child earn her allowance and she buys it... Her bike is sitting on its kickstand and in the garage where it wont get ruined, because she is given the pride in what it took to earn it, and she knows the value in what she spent.

Perfect example is dreadlocks... shouldnt have to pay taxes... meh..
