Its been a while since I posted but wanted to give the update on the new ride.

My old civic was totaled about a week ago. The funny part about all of it is how it was totaled. It was parked on the side of the road, I woke up one morning to watch one of the redeem team (olympic basketball) game and recieved a message from a police officer that my car has been involved in an accident. Go outside and find my car was hit. Some lady just ran into it, lol, gave the ol put my head down for a second and what happen next was history. I had the coupe for quite a while and was planning on running it till the wheels fell off, but I did end up getting a newer car out of the situation so I cant complain.

The new car is a 2002 Lexus IS 300, 5 speed. First thing I notice was having a car with tourque and low end power, very nice and of course I plan on doing a few things to it later down the road.

Also got to give a big thanks to TC Performance for inspecting the vehicle the same day I was up in Denver test driving it, congrats Tobi and Barb for establishing such a nice shop for people to come to for just about everyting for their vehicles. Such a huge change from doing work at the honda dealership and at the house, Ive been out of the loop for a minute but you guys havent missed a beat.

Below are the pics of the old Civic and the Lexus.

Wow - did the woman who hit your car fall asleep at the wheel or something?

Congrats on the new ride - must be quite an upgrade, eh? :)

sweet ride! those IS's do have a lot of low end torque. have fun driving that in the snow, good thing it has traction control.

Nice new ride Ted. Looks like that lady really slammed the civic. Glad you weren't in it.

She lived right on the same street the car was parked off, so she must have, but i was lucky she owned up to her mistake and she reported the accident to the cops, she was in a honda pilot and had no more than a scratch on her from bumper, and defintaly a nice upgrade from the civic, still miss the honda but when i was searching for a replacement #1 they are hard to find and #2 there wasnt one selling for under 5k.

yea i heard they are not the most fun in the snow, im glad it does have traction control and im planning on getting some mean snow tires or its going to be a long winter for me.

yea all the hard work down the drain, had just about everything done on it to run another 100k, had about 216k before it got blasted. thanks

thanks brian, im glad too or id be hurting, the car was pushed pretty far down the street so had to be a big impact.

yea i was willing to go out of state to get one but was lucky to find one right down the street, didnt want to settle for an auto.

yeah its been such i long time since i've seen you in person...even though it feels like yesterday... but i wanted to make sure i said hi before i left, just happy to see things work out for you, i will have to be back to get some things done to this thing, also was doing some searching on boosting these cars, looks like a good foundation to work with.
