timing belt

well im finishing up my engine and i wanna give it a comp test but i cant get the F***ING! POS!!!! timing belt on... its like 1/2" to short...... the timing tensor is loose and i loosend my cams to the go down a lil bit but still no luck any easy way to get this pos on im bout to just cut the damn belt and say F*** this project

well i was thinking to my self maybe the b18a1 timing belt wont fit cuz i have a itr water pump on my block..... maybe i need the itr timing belt if i use this water pump being it has 3 more teeth

its a str8 ls engine from a 92 teg..... and yea its the right belt i got it from autozone.... im taking off the itr water pump and puttin the stock ls 1 back on see if that makes a differance

well i swaped the wp and now the belt fits i take it i need to buy the itr belt if i wanna use the itr water pump dident know that sorry for the foul lang

Yup, with the ITR w.pump you would need to use the ITR belt, so long as the LS cam gears and crank had the same number of teeth as the ITRs...but it looks like you have figured it out.

yuppers :D after gettin frusterated smoking and thinking shit over i spaced out the itr water pump......that sucks that water pump is brand new never even been ran on :(

looks like ill be selling prolly short my self and go with $80 just cuz i had installed it once already just never ran it
